One Full Cooking Day in Italy, Umbria

Born in the vineyards between the hills, towers and medieval castles of Umbria in the heart of Italy, the Sagrantino of Montefalco is the country’s most ancient wine.
It is totally made with Sagrantino grapes that grown in the village of Montefalco and several surrounding towns. The wines include Montefalco Sagrantino secco, a dry DOCG red wine and Montefalco Sagrantino passito, a sweet DOCG red wine.
In this special day you will join the cooking experience to a great wine tour in a famous Sagrantino winery . You will the visit of the wonderful villages of Montefalco and Bevagna.

Program of Full Cooking Day in Umbria: Cooking Class and Wine Tour

 

  • 10,30 Arrive in the country farm “la volpe e l’uva” in Perugia. Begin instruction, highlighting the history of Umbria cooking and presenting the day’s menu. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for hands-on preparation of a glorious meal.

 

  • 12,30 Enjoy the fruits of your work! Eat the foods that you just created complemented by our wine and extra virgin olive oil.

 

  • 14.00 It is a wine tour in winery which produces Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCGS. You will have a guided tour of the vineyard, cellars finishing up with a test of local Umbrian specialties and the wines. You will also visit the medieval cities of Montefalco .
