Our 5-day cooking vacation takes place in the week leading up to Easter, offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in authentic Italian food, traditions, and lifestyle before heading to one of Italy’s great cities.
Spend your days in the peaceful Umbrian countryside, enjoying hands-on cooking classes, local food and wine experiences, and traditional tours. Then continue your journey to cities like Rome, Florence, or Venice, ready to experience Easter with a deeper connection to Italian culture.
This program offers an immersive experience into regional traditions, ancient rites, traditional cuisine, and surprising natural environments. Each day, indulge in a cooking class featuring traditional recipes, followed by a delicious lunch, and afternoon tours.

Day by Day Itinerary of the Tour
- Day 1 – Arrive
Arrival at the country farm “La volpe e l’uva” (Perugia, Central Italy, Umbria, near Tuscany). Check-in your apartment starting from 2.00pm.
- Day 2 – Cooking + Wine Tour
Morning. Hands-on cooking lesson starts around 10:00 am. You will prepare a four course lunch with recipes typical of the Easter eve. For lunch you will eat your creations accompanied by our wines.
Afternoon.A wine tour through the beautiful Umbrian countryside, discovering the region’s rich winemaking tradition. The experience includes a visit to a local vineyard and winery, where you will learn about the production process and enjoy a tasting of different wines made in the area, accompanied by local specialties. The tour continues with a free visit to the charming medieval village of Montefalco, known as the “Balcony of Umbria” for its spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. You will have time to explore its historic streets, admire its beautiful churches and squares, and soak up the authentic atmosphere of this picturesque Umbrian village..
- Day 3 – Cooking + Assisi Tour
Morning. Hands-on cooking class starts around 9,30 pm. You will prepare a four course lunch with typical Easter recipes, that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
Afternoon. Discover the spiritual heart of Umbria with a guided tour of Assisi, the hometown of Saint Francis. Walk through its peaceful medieval streets, visit the stunning Basilica of Saint Francis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Learn about the city’s rich history, religious heritage, and timeless beauty as you explore churches, piazzas, and hidden corners with your expert guide.
- Day 4 – Cooking + Trasimeno Lake tour
Morning. Hands-on cooking class starts around 9,30 pm. You will prepare a four course lunch with typical Easter recipes, that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
Afternoon. Enjoy a full-day tour that begins with a guided visit to the charming villages of Panicale and Castiglione del Lago. Panicale, once a medieval castle, still retains its original 12th-century defensive walls and overlooks Lake Trasimeno. The town has a circular layout, rising to its highest point and offering breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding hills.

PRICES 2027 – RATES
The prices are for single travelers (single occupancy) and for groups from 2 to 8 people ( double occupancy). If your group is composed by more than 8 people send me your request and we will send you the best price!
It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner who can spend the morning enjoying the surroundings, and could then join the group at lunchtime. Non-participating guests are welcome on the excursion and can use all the facilities at the farmhouse and join all the meals, just not the actual cooking classes.

- Group from 2 to 4 people Participating guest, double occupancy in 1 apartment ( 2 people) and in 2 apartments (3 and 4 people) 1500 euro
- Group from 5 to 8 people Participating guest, double occupancy in 3 apartments 1400 euro

Inclusions:
- Accommodation in the apartment of the farmhouse “la volpe e l’uva” in Perugia (40mq, lounge with cooking area and double sofa bed double bedroom and bathroom), included bed linen, towels, final cleaning.
- breakfasts (in your apartment you will find coffee, milk, biscuits, jams, butter and sugar)
- 3 cooking classes of approximately 4 hours,
- 3 Four course meal from the cooking lesson;
- Umbrian wines during meals, liquors for after dinner/lunch;
- Certificate of participation;
- Folder with all the recipes;
- Apron of Let’s cook in Umbria.
