Assisi, the home-town of Saint Francis peacefully setting on the slopes of the Subasio Mountain, is famous all over the Christian world.
Todi was an important centre between the Etruscan and the Umbrian civilizations;
Spoleto, ancient Umbrian settlement, became an important Roman colony and later capital of the Duchy Longobard.
The flavors of the artistic and gastronomic richness of Umbria are well mixed in this beautiful holiday!

Day by Day Itinerary of the Holiday
- Day 1 – Arrive in Perugia
Arrival at the country farm “La volpe e l’uva” (Perugia, Central Italy, Umbria, near Tuscany). Check-in your apartment at 4:00pm.
- Day 2 – Cooking + Assisi Tour
Morning: Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
Afternoon: You will visit the mystical city of Assisi, a beautiful medieval town based on Mount Subasio, overlooking a peaceful Umbrian landscape. The tour will allow to get to know the main landmarks where st. Francis lived. You can see the st. Francis Basilica whose superior walls were frescoed by Giotto and Cimabue. You will also visit the Eremo delle carceri, one of the oldest Franciscan convents. Professional guide in the excursion.
- Day 3- Cooking + Todi Tour
Morning: Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
Afternoon: Todi is an enchanting old town located in a delightful panoramic position on a hill in central Umbria. It boasts a number of interesting and well preserved medieval buildings rich in history. It is the birthplace of Jacopone, the great 13th century Franciscan mystic and poet. The historical medieval town center can be reached via a lift departing from the main car park. Professional guide in the excursion.
- Day 4 – Cooking + Spoleto Tour
Morning: Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
Afternoon: You will visit Spoleto. Spoleto is situated in a strategic position overlooking the ancient “Via Flaminia”. The splendor of its Romanesque churches and the Umbrian-Roman remains attracts many visitors. Professional guide in the excursion.
