Let's Cook in Umbria offers you the possibility to study Italian in the beautiful region of Umbria and to join the Italian lessons with our popular cooking classes and tours. Our small group Italian classes (maximum 8 participants) are very informal and amusing and take place exactly where you are lodged! You can choose among beginner or elementary level, intermediate level or advanced level. Your expert teacher will focus on specific topics according to your previous knowledge and your needs, and you will learn in an amusing setting.

The teaching hours can be integrated with very interesting walks to the local street markets, medieval towns or to small local museums.The teacher provides a lot of useful advice in order for the participants to go on learning Italian also after their holidays for a long term study. Teacher is native-speakers with the certified ability to teach Italian as a foreign or second language.

We take into account your current knowledge, the amount of time you have available to devote to the language, and the terminology you are looking for, e.g. ‘survival skills’ for beginners or more specialized terminology (financial, business, medical, technical) for advanced speakers. Intensive training is either on a one-on-one basis or can be arranged for a group of colleagues from the same organization.

ITALIAN CLASSES AND TOURS:

ITALIAN LANGUAGE, CULTURE and FOOD FULL IMMERSION COURSE

It is a very special language program, totally “made to measure”, created exclusively with regard to your requirements and your objectives.
The language teaching programme is integrated with additional activities or excursions such as wine and food tasting, always under the careful guidance of your teacher.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY OF THE 4 DAYS PACKAGE: Italian lessons and Tours

Day 1 - Arrive in Perugia
Arrival at the country farm "La volpe e l'uva" (Perugia, Central Italy, Umbria, near Tuscany). Check-in your apartment at 4:00pm.

Day 2
3,5 hours of Italian lessons ( from 9.00 amto 12,30)
The excursion take place from 13.00 to 19.00. You will visit the mystical city of Assisi, a beautiful medieval town based on Mount Subasio, overlooking a peaceful Umbrian landscape. The tour will allow to get to know the main landmarks where st. Francis lived. You can see the st. Francis Basilica whose superior walls were frescoed by Giotto and Cimabue. You will also visit the Eremo delle Carceri, one of the oldest Franciscan convents. In the excursion you will be accompained by a professional guide.

Day 3
3,5 hours of Italian lessons ( from 9.00 amto 12,30)
The excursion take place from 13.00 to 19.00. You will go by taxi in the Perugia city centre (It is very near to the fam, about 20 euro by taxi).
Here you will meet a professional guide for the tour of the city.

Day 4
3,5 hours of Italian lessons ( from 9.00 amto 12,30)
Hands-on cooking class starts around 14.30pm. You will prepare a four course dinner that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.

Day 5
3,5 hours of Italian lessons ( from 9.00 amto 12,30)
The excursion take place from 15.00 to 19.00 You will visit the town Orvieto, a this spectacular laid on top of a huge tufa rock. You will visit one of the italian wonders: the mighty cathedral and in there a sample of Renaissance masterpiece, St Brizio Chapel frescoed by Beato Angelico and Luca Signorelli. In the excursion you will be accompained by a professional guide.

Day 6 -Departure

·1 cooking class and 1 lunches from cooking class
· 2 tours as indicated in the itinerary.
