Since 2005 we have been offering an authentic cooking experience, set in a real farmhouse located in the heart of Italy. Come join our cooking classes, gourmet tours, excursions to chocolate and olive oil producers and truffle hunting. We offer a unique opportunity to spend some time in the countryside of Umbria, learning about authentic Italian food, touring beautiful art sites and relaxing in the garden or by the pool. In the farm we produce vegetables, fruits, eggs, jams, wine and extra-virgin olive oil : the same local ingredients that are used to prepare the food during our cooking classes.

Located in the heart of Umbria, not far from Tuscany, the farmhouse “La Volpe e l’uva” is surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and olive trees, and steeped in Etruscan and Medieval history
Raffaella runs this scenic and peaceful family farm, located only 4km from the historical centre of Perugia. She has chickens, vegetable garden, olive trees, vineyard and an assortment of friendly cats.
The cooking classes and the lunches are held in Raffaella's home. During the hands-on cooking lessons you will have the chance to prepare some authentic Italian dishes in an informal and friendly environment, and will learn the passion of the Italian kitchen. Our Italian (English-speaking) teacher will guide you through the preparation of simple but delicious Italian recipes and will reveal some of her culinary secrets.

We can organize half-day trips to the producers of extra virgin olive oil, truffle, pecorino cheese, chocolate and Umbrian and Tuscan wines – including a tasting of their products – or to some artistic cities in Umbria and Tuscany. We will provide you with a minibus, a driver and a professional guide.
The cooking packages are available year round on request for a minimum of 2 two people. Groups are kept small, and vary between two and eight participants, in order to assure a better enjoyment of each other's company and get as much attention as possible from your hosts.
We also accept bigger groups (up to 20 person) for cooking demonstrations and tours. If interested, you can send in a request.
Upon request, we can also arrange for you to be picked up from/dropped at one of main Italian airports.
